    Days run from the day of entry up to the day of departure, as your kennels page sets out. Pending approval: we confirm by phone or email. Peak-season dates need a deposit; cancellations inside five days may be charged 50%.

    Staying with us

    Every guest has its own room, and pets who live together can share. We feed each one the food it eats at home, so bring theirs. Our staff look after diabetic and epileptic dogs and cats, and we only clean with Safe4, the disinfectant we import, which vets and hospitals use too.

    Cats and dogs mostly, but ask us about rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, budgies and parrots.

    Before check-in

    • Dogs: yearly 7-in-1 and kennel cough vaccines. Cats: yearly 5-in-1, plus ringworm.
    • Deworming and flea treatment two days before, with a declaration from you or your vet.
    • Dogs microchipped, as Maltese law requires.
    Boarding rates, per pet per day

    As listed on tattargakennels.com. 18% VAT applies. Discounts for more than one pet and for shared rooms. The day you arrive is charged in full.

    Humanity before vanity

    We groom for your pet's health and comfort first. No cages and no sedation, ever: if we can't handle your pet, there's no charge. Most grooms take two hours or less, and you're welcome to stay and watch.

    Dogs, cats and rabbits. Standard baths, bath and brushing, nail clipping, partial and full grooms.

    Tat-Targa Vet Clinic

    Routine checks, vaccinations, dental care and minor procedures, from the people who already look after your pet's stays and grooms. Dr Gabriel Spiteri trained in Budapest and has a soft spot for exotics: reptiles, birds and small mammals.

      We started importing Safe4 disinfectant and Arden Grange pet food between 2006 and 2008, and later added Yuup! grooming products and Reflexx gloves. Pet shops and vet clinics buy them from us through our sales team.
